After exams what next?

After exams what next?
Most if not all professional examinations for the November / December session have finished. It will be Christmas and new year soon and we all hope that this new year will bring us success and every goodthing we may wish for.

While we may have finished the examination and/or school is on break, you may be wondering what to do, how to use your time wisely during this period.

I hope these suggestions may be helpful:
  • Learn / or polish your use of the computer, especially your use of microsoft office
  • Take advantage of free or reduced practical accounting training such as sage line 50, sage payroll etc
  • Take up some volunteering activities with local charity organisations (this may go a long way to increase your CV and may give you relevant experience for the future)
  • You may also begin revising some of the possible subjects that you may be intending to write examinations on during the next examination session, it is important to revise the subjects that you often find difficult the most, this will give you advantage of a better understanding during the term.
  • Anything that you may have putten aside during the semester and was unable to do because of lack of time during school session, you may use your vacation to get it over with.
  • Above all work hard at everything that you set your mind on and you shall surely be successful at it.

Take care.

Weather warning

Weather warning
It is evident to all of us the sever snow and its effect on all individual abd business activities over the last few weeks, but especially over the weekend. Even as i type this blog, the snow is pouring very heavily in and around London, planes from major cities in UK and parts of Europe are grounded, delivery lorries are not able to keave various depot to send deliveries to the stores, the petrol filling stations and lots of us who are expecting deliveries are yet to receive such deliveries and mails.

The snow is very sever and one need to be careful when going out, and some of the things that we are being adviced to do include:
  • Keep warm both indoors and outdoors
  • Go out only when it is absolutely necessary
  • If you have to use the public transport when going out, check information regarding trains, buses and listen to the latest travel update.
  • Walk carefully in the snow, wear proper shoes, it is very easy to fall and to hurt yourself once the snow becomes slippery.
  • In case of emergency, contact the emergency services on 999

On a refreshing side, take lovely pictures in the snow if you can, it looks so beutiful.
All the best, Merry Christmas and a Happy new year in advance.

Take care

Something to think about

What do you think about?

There are sometimes when we go through difficulties and things seems so hard that we easily want to give up or wish we never started this whole thing all together.

It may be too easy to give up, just believe that you can do it, just keep pressing on towards the goal that you set yourself when you first began, no one wins by quiting.

There are words and its opposite, so instead of accepting the bad words and negative words you are faced with, just do the opposite, take the good and positive words and apply them to yourself, believe in it, do it, live it and things may begin to change in your life and in the difficult situation that you find yourself.

All the best

Merry Christmas and a happy new year in advance.
